Kelvin has been the minister at Long Creek Church of Christ since May of 2018.  He was baptized on May 21, 1997 at Virginia Avenue Church of Christ in Meridian, MS.  He earned a Master's Degree in Congregational Ministry from Sunset International Bible Institute and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, from the University of Phoenix. He has been married to his lovely wife Nikita for over 30 years and they have three adult sons.  Kelvin served in the United States Army for over 24 years and retired in 2012 as a First Sergeant.  Before answering the call to ministry, he served for over 8 years as a deacon here at Long Creek where he specialized in leading and coordinating events for the youth group.  Brother Briggs is a man of many passions but he loves nothing more than  studying the Bible and history, spending quality time with family, playing with his grand-children and enjoying his to favorite hobbies of Golf and Pickleball.
